Hi, I’m Cassandra
A board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner caring for adults across Montana by secure video.

I'm Cassandra Maughan, a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC). I provide psychiatric care by secure video to adults across Montana.
I trained in Duke University's Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program. I'm licensed in Montana with full, independent prescriptive authority.
Many of the people I see have been putting off getting help for a long time. Maybe they were busy, or unsure where to start, or tired of long waits and long drives. I started Maughan Psychiatry to make that first step easier. You can be seen from home, at a pace that fits your life.
In our visits, I listen first. We'll talk about what's going on, what you've tried, and what you want to feel different. Then we'll build a plan together. That plan may include medication, short supportive therapy during our visits, or both. I'll explain my reasoning and your options plainly, and you'll always have a say.

Healing that starts at the root
The bitterroot is Montana's state flower. Its Latin name, Lewisia rediviva, means "brought back to life." The plant is known for making it through long, dry seasons and blooming again from its roots.
I chose it because that's how I think about healing. Real change often starts somewhere deep and quiet, long before anyone can see it. My job is to help you tend to those roots, so you can grow again.
