Clear pricing, no surprises
Here's what visits cost, which plans I work with, and how payment works, so you can plan ahead.
Self-pay fees
- Initial psychiatric evaluation$325
- Follow-up visit$155
- Letters & forms$50
- Late cancellation or no-show$100
Letters and forms include administrative requests such as FMLA paperwork, charged per request. Using an Allegiance plan? Your cost for covered visits depends on your plan's benefits.
Insurance
- In-networkAllegiance. I submit claims for you. Copays are due at the time of service.
- PendingBlue Cross Blue Shield of Montana, Cigna and Mountain Health CO-OP. Credentialing is in progress, so these plans aren't in-network yet. I'll update this page as each one is finalized.
- MedicareI've opted out of Medicare. If you have Medicare, including Medicare Advantage, we'd sign a private contract and you'd pay the full fee yourself. Medicare won't be billed and won't reimburse.
- MedicaidMontana Medicaid enrollment is pending. Please call before scheduling so we can talk through your options.
- Out-of-networkI can give you a superbill to submit to your insurance yourself. Reimbursement isn't guaranteed.
How payment works
A card on file is required before your first visit. It's stored securely in my patient records system and charged on the date of service. For Allegiance plans, anything you owe after the claim is processed is charged to the same card.

Good to know
Cancellations
Appointments canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours' notice are charged the $100 late cancellation fee, except in a documented emergency.
Cost concerns
I don't have a standing sliding-scale program, but I'll consider limited accommodations case by case. If cost is a barrier, please ask.
Fee changes
Current patients get at least 30 days' notice before any fee change.
Good Faith Estimate
If you're uninsured or paying yourself, you have the right to a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges. You'll get one in writing before your first visit. Read the full notice.
